What should I listen to?
- Tap Start listening and allow the microphone.
- Play the video, song or talk out loud, close to this device.
- Words appear every few seconds. Tap Stop when it ends.
Best result: play it on another device (TV, laptop or phone) and hold this one near the speaker. Keep this screen open while it listens.
- Open your YouTube video (or any site) in another Chrome or Edge tab.
- Tap Choose a tab, pick that tab, and turn on Also share tab audio.
- Press Share, then play the video. Words appear as it plays.
Listening to a tab works on a laptop or computer with Chrome or Edge. Phones don't allow it in a browser.
On this phone, use Live listen instead: play the video on another device and let this phone hear it.
Works with links that end in a file (like .mp3 or .mp4), podcast episode files, Dropbox and Google Drive share links. For YouTube, use Listen to a tab on a laptop or Live listen on a phone.
